How it all started...
Ladypace was established by Simon and Suzanne Shorrock in January 2005. They wanted to create a fitness centre where women of all shapes and sizes could train in a friendly environment with "inch-loss" as their primary goal. Since then it has become the leading provider of women's-only fitness in Shropshire, and over the last 10 years they have built a solid reputation, helping thousands of women achieve their weight loss and fitness goals. It has now become the "go-to" centre for women looking for quick results without having to spend hours slogging away on a treadmill.
It was their love of fitness that brought Simon and Suzanne together in 1996. Simon had come from a Forces background and migrated to Shropshire after qualifying as a Sports Therapist at Cannock College. His first job in the fitness industry was as a fitness and aerobics manager at Telford Racquets Centre and it was there that he met Suzanne who was a keen fitness enthusiast. Her love of exercise took her away from a career in parcel distribution as a Customer Services manager to become a fully qualified personal trainer in 1996. Very soon Simon and Suzanne had a flourishing personal fitness business travelling the length and breadth of Shropshire training clients in their homes.
In 2003 they moved the Shrewsbury and it was from a client's visit to the USA that the idea of a ladies-only fitness centre was born. They decided it would be the perfect complement to their personal training business and in 2005 Ladypace was born. It quickly became one of the most popular fitness centres in Shrewsbury and a decade they've expanded the centre from a stand-alone gym to a gym and fitness studio which caters for women of all ages and fitness levels.
